Haiku What?

Perfect awareness
Despite the garbled events
Puddling at my feet.
Another sun lurks
Peeping past the waterline
Spying on my hours.
Seeking the wild gourd
Parting the frosted pasture
Skulking and plunging.
United in stone
Mankind courses through walled veins
Filling up the world.
Remember that time
In Milano...that weird dude
Who kept staring off?
PLEASE NOTE: That's one of my small illustrations I've turned into a fat canvas via Photoshop.
Off the circuit board
To stare down unknown orbits,
To dare godless fates.
The choices once made
Cast deep shadows of intent
On the things true loved.
THE OUTER ORBITS
WHERE TIME/SPACE SEEMS ELASTIC
WAITING FOR GODOOZ.
Snatched by misty teeth
Arrested wonder above
Native songs below.
It's the big moment
Where neurons confront morons.
Who steps up first, hmmm?
Ever gaining height
Gravity is but a myth
Wooed by a whirwind.
To the starting line
And time has lost its meaning
Where passion must count.
Five little piggies
With mild ambitions, at best,
Ain't gonna cut it.
Conquering Hero
Flitting the globe once again
Looking for loose change.
Little wooden boy
Trying so hard to grow up
And not to grow out.
An asphalt nomad,
Made restless for sun-kissed climes,
Freezes in headlights.
NOTE: Going through some older work, I found this one that dates back to the early 90's.
You found Jesus, eh?
Where was the Halo Monkey,
Behind the sofa?
Eternal questions
Echoing through time and space
Might suggest fowl play.
This is my entry in this week's Illustration Friday theme, "chicken". I figured it lended itself to a fair haiku round-up, too.
You moved to Paris
And you gotta break the news?
There's an app for that.
Now fleeting sweetness
A timely release of self
Overcome, yet whole.
My entry this week on Illustration Friday's theme, "surrender".
Turquoise telescope
Bringing the unknown closer
While having to wait.
What is a window
But an odd two-way mirror
That reveals lookers.

There goes Omaha.
This is my entry is this week's theme over at Illustration Friday. Be sure to check out the other artists' entries for "Warning".
Taken by surprise,
Stirred out of old reveries,
Rattled by new winds.
Once again, I decided to use the Illustration Friday theme, "Stir", as a interesting point of take off for this week's haikus.
Adrenaline rush
With fantasies of mayhem
In our DNA.
This is my entry for the Illustration Friday theme, "Toy". Be sure to check the recent entries by the other imaginative artists taking a whack at it.
Seven elephants
Slam dancing inside my skull
Doing Jaeger shots.
Poor, poor Bigglesworth
Caught in the linen closet
Nipping on a Pabst.
Each Khaalugan morn,
Urging old ones out of bed
The Beginner speaks.
This is my entry for this week's Illustration Friday theme, "Beginner"; kind of a dystopian riff that twists the meaning of the word.
There's that one weird guy,
Unflappable and patient,
That drives us BATSHIT.
O what dreams may come
Untethered and unbidden
Asleep yet alive.
Thought it might be fun to see some of y'all's haikus based on my entry for this week's Illustration Friday theme, "ASLEEP".
Where the sidewalk ends;
When reality
Meets the imagination.
"Look, it's good for you."
A nauseating cliche
Beyond remedy.
This is my entry for this week's theme over at illustration Friday: REMEDY.
Can I, PRETTY PLEASE??
Don't care where or for how long.
Just don't make me STAY!
Abominable?
This stylin' Himalayan's
A ready Yeti.
400 floors up
Beyond filthy commoners
And staying in touch.
This is my entry to this week's theme over at Illustration Friday. Why not explore the other "mysterious" entries there?

Unearthly creature
Whose presence only requires
A humble silence.
This is my entry for this week's theme over at Illustration Friday, "SILENT".
What is a mere fence?
An invitation to pique
The odd picket peek.
Meandering stones
Demarcating yours and mine
Grounded, so grounded.
This is my entry for this week's theme over at Illustration Friday: GROUNDED.
Blurring connections
Collapsing tightening gyre
Spinning between planes

Gaining attention
Focal point of no return
And God laughs and laughs
This is my entry for this week's theme over at Illustration Friday: POPULARITY

Entrance or Exit?
A hello starts slouching towards
A tender longing.
What's wrong with Johnny?
He's got too much...not enough?
Vocal ampage works.
The illustrations are getting loud over at Illustration Friday:VOCAL.
A divine notion
That simple things have merit
Refreshes the mind.
Soothing black asphalt
Thumb outstretched pointing westward
Anywhere but here
This is my entry for this week's theme over at Illustration Friday: HITCHED
No pots rattling?
My bowl yet bereft of meat?
O how can this be?
Suspend disbelief
The night sky reels, splits open
Revealing wonder.
This is my entry for this week's theme over at Illustration Friday: SUSPEND, Check out the other creative types hanging around there.
Watching intently
Flicker of recognition
Midnight Hail Mary
This is my entry for this week's Illustration Friday: LONELY. Please wander over and check out the art of being alone.
O so stealthily
Casing sketchy neighborhoods
Dodging freelancers.
Fifty-five wing beats
Hovering, feeding, living
In just one second.
The road less traveled
Is covered with black skid marks,
Shredded wheels and glass.
American dream
Nurtured by a Wall Street sun
Too intense for some.
.
Portals of Others
Sealed ever so mute and blind
Beyond memory.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Way is narrow
The Path strewn with predators
Bunnyists Unite!
.........................................................................................................................
City or country
Ring tone or tolling church bell
Tomorrow calling
Wavering notions
Pulling and pushing limits
Of righteous vision.
