Haiku What?

American dream
Nurtured by a Wall Street sun
Too intense for some.

Doc Al:

Words on the match book:
"Close cover before striking"
Not to be ignored.

Doc Al:

Giant rooftop ants
Focus magnifying glass
On nebbish below

John Cox:

Interesting takes, Doc. You're turning into a haiku monster

Terwiliger:

Ditto John. You're smokin', Doc. Made me think of Herb Gardner stuff I used to see at estate sales (esp. "The Nebbishes" paraphernalia, including matchbook covers). Wouldn't have thought about it without your haiku. If intended, razor-sharp references.

I can't do as well, but here goes a few:

Connor Skywalker
The Highlander meets Star Wars
New way to lose head

"My my my, hey hey
It's better to burn out than..."
What were you saying?

Some thought he was bright
Articulate, well-spoken
And then the smoke cleared

John Cox:

Hey T

I enjoyed the Neil Young reference. Neat stuff.

Cowboy:

Smoked by Agent K;
The last suit he'll ever wear;
It's the Men In Black.
