Life Drawing Session

figure.jpg

8" x 8" graphite on paper

Spent a couple hours at a life drawing session across town. This one actually worked out. The rest of the other studies? Meh.

Roadwork is to the miler what life drawing is to the visual artist; a good workout that promotes stamina and hones technique.

Thunderbottom:

As a Judo sensei once told me, very once in awhile, one has to go back to the basics - conditioning is also important.

Thunderbottom:

"Every" - as in "every once in awhile". Damn! I need to pay more attention to my editing.

Zeroth:

No kidding that one worked out! Very impressive, John. From the hands to the ears, it all comes together beautifully.

And on another note, hubba. And might I add, hubba.

John Cox:

Hey Z

I believe a distinct amount of hubba is in order when drawing the figure. Otherwise, it might as well be an umbrella stand.

Doug:

I've been going to the Apache Cafe on Monday nights. Would love to see you there and draw with you sometime.

John Cox:

Hey Doug

Let's do this.
