Just back from a family visit and was getting my nostalgia on.

Craniac:

Is that "Forget-Me-Not" Blue?

Bill:

Any significance/reality to the photo?

Tom Wms.:

John: This would be a great poster for missing children.

john cox:

HEY TOM

Wow. Poignant and eye-catching idea.

john cox:

HEY BILL

Worked on an old sketch and dropped in a background. Nothing particularly personal except the whistful pose that reminded me of washed out Polaroids in a family album.

Terwiliger:

I hope you had a nice visit home.

When I was a kid, family was everything. Now it seems as though families are only as close as the oldest living linear matriarch (or sometimes patriarch). Grandmothers hold families together, then mothers, then siblings.

I've seen aunts & uncles drift away when grandmothers went on, cousins drift away as parents moved on.

Everybody seems to get so wrapped up in themselves that relationships die.

T's advice for the day: SLOW DOWN. Call or visit a family member or friend you've drifted away from. The death of relationships is the death of connectivity. The death of relationships is the death of community. The death of community is the death of spirit. The death of spirit is the death of the republic.

john cox:

HEY T

Rediscovering my relationships with my siblings has been worth the effort.

What you say is a bit intimidating, yet no less true.
