It appears that the media elites pronouncement of the death of conservatism in 2008 was a bit premature.

I just voted in Tennessee. A sign on the wall stated voters must have one of the following forms of identification: a voters' registration card, a Tennessee state drivers' license, or a Social Security card.
It went on to say, "If you don't have one of the above, please don't leave the precinct. You can fill out an eligibility affidavit and have it witnessed by a poll worker. That will satisfy the requirement."
MY QUESTION: How can you fill out an affidavit if you don't have proof of who you say you are on the affidavit?

TOM WMS:
As I understand it, "progressives" are O.K. with this procedure as those in question are swearing a solemn oath before... hmmm... a universe that spontaneously generated itself from nothing? Or maybe good intentions that are derived from a consciousness that organized itself based on the theory that evolution is deliberate & genetic developmental progress results from the complication of our genetic code in spite of the law of entropy?
Never mind. I guess I don't understand it at all.
