CD Cover Idea

Been diggin' on Talking Heads "Little Creatures" (1985). The last cut is "Road to Nowhere" which seems poignant these days. Overall, though, it sounds and feels like a party album.

GarandFan:

"Road to Nowhere". How appropriate.

Bill Erdmann:

Yah - remember Clinton's "Bridge to the 21st Century"? Look where THAT got us. Now we have another slick talker proposing all sorts of "make work" public works projects like the Civilian Construction Corps in the 1930's (THAT worked out really well - NOT! Read Amity Schlaes' "The Forgotten Man" or the analysis of Roosevelt's economic policies by UCLA economists, Harold Cole and Lee Ohanian - FDR's policies EXTENDED the "Great Depression" by SEVEN YEARS!)

Taking a little Mondrain trip, John?

I like it.

Yo

Terwiliger:

(1) A lot of stuff in common with your top banner.

(2) Where did the bits for the collage "little creature" come from?

(3) Never got into the Talking Heads (or Pink Floyd, although I think Gilmour plays with a lot of taste). I pay very little attention to lyrics--even songs that I like. [Former aspiring] musician with aural "blinders" on, I guess.

(4) One song I did pay attention to: How about an album cover inspired by "The Trees" by Rush?

Tara:

Yepp... weird!

HEY T

2....tiny little illustration I saved from years ago. Sears catalogue bits and pieces.

4.....I'm not familiar with that one. I'll YouTube it and see how it hits.
