PHASE 3...adding more texture

phase3.jpg

Adding another layer of "grime" puts the focal area farther back into the "stone" wall. Since I'm shooting for a trompe l'oeil effect, "Build. Destroy. Rebuild." is my theme.

The next phase will be putting new shadows and highlights into the face.

Bill Erdmann:

Nice ethereal effect - now all it needs is a nearly naked, buxom young woman on a unicorn.

Michael:

Adding the eye in the lower left gives the work an omniscient feel...very stirring.

HEY MICHAEL

I see it. Purely accidental and it is not long for this world.

Michael:

Holy crap, man...I could have sworn you were making a faint closeup of a face...eye, eyebrow, hairline above that, and the bridge of the nose running down to the center of the canvas. You say it's accidental...now it just seems creepy. :)
