Book Cover Idea

I thought it would be fun to do a cover illustration for one of my all-time favorite novels. I only wish Toole would have stuck around longer. Can you imagine what fun he would have had lampooning the characters of post-Katrina New Orleans?

I feel the same way about Flannery O'Connor. Southern Gothic, to me, is always a fun and dark world to escape into.

Bigwig Rabbit:

That book is probably the funniest I've ever read. His little foray into hotdog selling made me howl.

One of my all-time favorite books. I've read it at least half a dozen times.

I'd have loves to see that snark applied to present day New Orleans too.
