I feel the same way about Flannery O'Connor. Southern Gothic, to me, is always a fun and dark world to escape into.

That book is probably the funniest I've ever read. His little foray into hotdog selling made me howl.

One of my all-time favorite books. I've read it at least half a dozen times.
I'd have loves to see that snark applied to present day New Orleans too.
