Quoth The Raven

Vividly remember reading "Telltale Heart" for the first time ( I was ten or eleven) and being frightened out my mind. The pale blue eye!!

Oh great dig up THAT memory... I think 4th grade English teachers take great joy in scaring the crap out of there students with Poe...

The copy I read WAS ILLUSTRATED! It was in our book case in the living room and swear I couldn't even WALK BY that book without getting chills.

I remember having Telltale Heart on tape, complete with sound effects! Yikes!

I love the Alan Parsons Project album "Tales of Mystery and Imagination," a concept album revolving around Poe. The Tell Tale Heart and Cask of Amontillado songs are brilliant.

Jonathan C. Hohensee:

I never really understood how a creepy eye could drive someone to murder. Or how someone could murder a guy by gradually using candle light every night.
