I collect antique books and have a book that was published in 1868. It is a book of essays dealing with atrocities and other questionable acts by the government during the Civil War. When I got the book, is was in perfect condition. I came home one day to find that our dog had eaten the covers and a couple of pages. Because of strong intervention from my wife, that dog lived to die a natural death.

Sorry to hear about the book--but you've given one example of how to tell when a man really loves a woman. One of the best indicators: When a man plays golf with a woman (unless she's actually good, which is a rarity).
I don't collect old books (unless I can get them cheap), but I like to read them (luckily I have pretty easy access to 3 university libraries)--& I have a number of reprints of old books I like to reference from time to time.
What was the title of that book, & who was the author? Sounds like something I'd like to read.

Hands down, Apple's app store wins by a mile. It's a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I'm not sure I'd want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
