The nice thing is that he never let his fame go to his head. I'd hate it if he acted like he was some kind of authority on something like, say, politics--like he was really impressed with himself just because he "made" a pile of money at easy, non-productive work, & years of special treatment had given him a bloated sense of self-importance. It's great when celebrities avoid such trappings of fame.

My favorite Spicolli memory was when he went down to New Orleans to make a political statemen--- err, I mean "help out"-- in the aftermath of Katrina and his boat sank.
