Nixon nailed it. Once he realized the truth in his own words, he stepped aside. I don't think B. O. will ever be that noble.
By the way, I love your caricature. The eyes capture the sinister side of politics better than anything I've seen in a long time.

Another thought on this: The House leadership (and controlling party) is trying to push Joe Wilson into this category. But, what they seem to underestimate is Jimmy Carter's overwhelming ability to deflect heat by simply opening his mouth. He actually had the gall to say Joe Wilson's comment was racially motivated. How can a wealthy owner of a southern peanut plantation (I mean farm) accuse anybody of being a racist? Jimmy Carter defines the Peter Principle.
Now that the house made their move against Joe Wilson and Carter (a proven detractor of Israel) has pulled the race card from his sleeve, does anybody believe the press will get down to the job of reporting what is important, rather than the inane?
Sorry about the rant, but I believe it is time Jimmy Carter took Richard Nixon's advice. Unfortunately, I believe we are destined to put up with Carter's nonsense until the very day the state lowers its flags to half-mast in his honor.

But..but...but...Barry says "It's not about ME!" Then he goes on to talk about MY PLAN. Go figure.

RE: "the plan"
Barack calls "the plan" HIS plan... He offers to go over it line-by-line to explain it to anyone "too stupid" to get it... When several folks take him up on the offer, he's AWOL... He tries to distance himself from "the plan"... His web site shows him 3 whole pages into drafting "his own" plan... And now the omnibus "plan" is "his" again.
RE: Jimmy Carter
Let's follow his logic. I must be a racist because I oppose everything Barack Obama stands for. Looking back through history, I can name close to 10 other presidents who I would also have opposed everything they stood for, & I would have been opposed to most of what all but maybe 8 of the rest of them stood for. Until yesterday, I had never realized just how many black presidents there have been in America.

As far as the "racism" crap goes, Jimmah Carter was the best thing to happen to conservatives. Having Jimmah say we're racist puts a point on how ridiculous the charge is. How many people are going to find themselves agreeing with the most unpopular president of the modern age?

Hence Alinsky rule 12:
"Rule 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it and polarize it. Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (This is cruel, but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)"
