Last night at Sylvia Cross' SYCAMORE PLACE GALLERY here in Decatur, I had the pleasure to show fourteen paintings to friends and patrons. It came off beautifully. While the guests enjoyed wine and Greg Connor's splendid acoustic performance, they took in my work and were very generous with they comments.
And the kicker? I sold "Transformation", "Receiving" and "Terra Mechanica II".
Thanks to all my friends who did me the honor of attending and a special shout out to Brandon Longley, the fine eye behind the camera.
And a fat, sloppy thanks to Sylvia who is the heart and soul of an invigorating showplace and is incredibly inspiring to those who know and love her. Her insightful encouragement is a gift.

Sounds like an excellent evening. Bet New Yorkers don't even know there are art galleries in Georgia.

HEY G
Yeah. Atlanta is a small market, but it has a certain liveliness that produces some great work.
Who needs NYC?

HEY YO
I'm afraid there are no copies of my work. One day I'll be able to afford the print costs.

Great!
I want to visit Georgia in order to see if the "peach" could compete with the "big apple"! ;) Joke aside, I have to revisit NYC soon again and meet a good friend there and participate in a goofy food contest! ;) But I would love to visit your neighborhood too. And of course, TN and Allen Forkum. So many places to see... :)

Hey John,
Just wanted to extend my apologies and regrets for not making it. Of course, I'm also very pleased that it was a productive showing.
Hoping you're still speaking to me next time we have a beer,
Bill

Are the pictures of the individual works up on the site somewhere?

HEY LELL
Look under "Paintings" in my catergories on the far right side of the main page. Scroll all the down to the January 3 '09 date (and the paintings after that date) and you'll find the paintings that are in the show.
