This is part of my ongoing exploration into expressionistic paintings. I'm very interested in turning these 7"x7" acrylic studies into full blown canvas works that measure 4 ft. x 4ft. Scaling these much, much larger is an important aspect to these works.

This the album that turned me on to exploring the 50's and 60's jazz scenes in New York and L.A. Like millions of other Miles Davis fans, this album is my favorite. This is my illustration that reflects an alchemy of freedom and structure I find so fascinating in his music.
