Always thought King's shorter works from the 80's would make excellent graphic novels. "Apt Pupil" was turned into a lousy movie, but the concept of a hiding Nazi war criminal trying to deal with a neighbor kid would make a compelling adult comic book, I think.

I think you're right, John about the comic book. Art Spiegelman's _Maus_ was very well received and Spiegelman got a Pulitzer for it.

If you haven't read this particular short story, you can find it in King's 1982 "Different Seasons".
It so happens, another story in this collection, "The Body" was made into a very good picture by Rob Reiner, "Stand By Me".

Only Stephen King book I have a copy of. To state the obvious, "The Shawshank Redemption" came from it as well.
