This is the first of a new series of editorial cartoons called "Are You Kidding?!". Every once in awhile I'll take a quote from the news verbatim and create an image that highlights the absurd nature of the statement.

"Smartest Man in the World!"

Later that same day, after being hammered for his ludicrous statement, Barry said:
"The economy's not doing fine... (Ughm) There are too many people out of work... the housing market is still weak and too many homes are underwater, and that's precisely why I asked Congress to start taking some steps than can make a difference."
SO: In a jircle-cerk that would have reached epic proportions had the statement not been challenged, the MSM lauded the POTUS for all things that are right with the world.
A few hours later, the great seer, soothsayer, sage and financial adviser to the Greek government--Barack the Magnificent--found a sound byte in a #2 caviar jar that magically appeared on the New Party porch & noted a symptomatic problem of the megalobanks (which are in his hip pocket) & the plebes & blamed it all on that "Do-Nothing Republican Congress." The MSM cheered again.
Why are so many homes underwater? Their mortgagers don't have jobs...
... which begs the question, "Why don't they have jobs?"
"Uh... uh... [IGNORE THE REASON--JUST "KNOW" THAT] It's Congress's fault." (NOTE: Harry Reid is blocking all budget legislation from reaching the floor for a vote--the do-nothings in Congress are SENATE DEMOCRATS.)
Nonetheless, according to Rasmussen, a 47% plurality of likely voters still support the POTUS.
"But Romney is one of those kooky Mormons!" Regardless of what you think about Mormonism--SO IS REID--& Reid wasn't born into the faith; he was raised as an agnostic & accepted the faith while in college, which would be exponentially nuts in Bill Maher's book. Just sayin'.

If this becomes a regular series, the price of ink and bandwidth will necessarily skyrocket.
Funny and good stuff, though.

Yup, that one deserves a comic!
Have to admit that the POTUS amd the V-POTUS definitely will give you enough material.

Will the ears grow larger every time he tells a lie?

This cartoon is a grave insult to Mickey Mouse fans everywhere!
A beanie with a solar powered propeller would be so much more appropriate...
