Experimenting...

theElitist.jpg

I wanted to goof around with a graphic format that would let me plug in caricatures that fit a certain stereotype.

I was inspired by the scene illustrations that pop up in the move "The Sting". It had then these title cards like, "The Players", "The Set Up", (and of course)"The Sting". It was a catchy way to tell a rather convoluted story.

Hmmmm....reminds me of the photo of someone else with their nose in the air. But His halo was around his head.

Terwiliger:

The caricature looks a lot like a physics prof at my alma mater--but he's always been a very approachable guy. Intelligent, personable, & humble. An aristocrat (in the very best sense of the word)--but not an elitist.

Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the vast majority of the rest of the professoriate & the student body there--MAJOR elitists--& with a huge sense of entitlement to boot (imagine a preppy Jersey Shore set in the South).

Steve M:

Nicely done. That design treatment goes even further back to the old Saturday Evening Post covers. I like the type for "Elitist"-almost looks like a logo for a car...Coming in 2013 the new Chrysler Elitist...

Hiya, I'm really glad I've found this information. Today bloggers publish only about gossips and web and this is really annoying. A good site with interesting content, this is what I need. Thanks for keeping this web site, I will be visiting it. Do you do newsletters? Can't find it.
