For Your Edification and Enjoyment...

My good friend Sean Minton has created a 5 minute piece that examines Occupy Wall Street and how it has been represented in my satirical artwork.

It's quick, makes thought provoking points and will serve an important function: A grade in his Rhetorical Studies over at Georgia State.

It's titled "THE ART OF WAR BY OTHER MEANS".ENJOY.

GarandFan:

THAT was WAY COOL DUDE!

John Cox:

HEY G

Glad you enjoyed that. I truly got a kick out of collaborating with Sean. He's a sharp young man with lots of creative energy.

Zeroth:

Daaang, you's giga-articulate, Fancy Monkey With Magic Pen! Way to brilliantly answer those odd questions.

The video was suitably ambiguous and subversive for Rhetorical Studies, methinks. From Aristotle to Franklin & Nash! Boss Tweed and monkeys to boot!

You play the synthesizer, John?

John Cox:

HEY Z

Thanks for the kind word. I can chat shop with the best of 'em.

We raided my Garage Band collection of short compositions I've been doing for quite a while. I don't play any instruments (I mess around with my acoustic guitar-I know six chords, baby!), but I have a pretty good ear for bass lines and simple rhythms.

Scratch a visual artist, you can watch his inner musician bleed. Cartoonists don't get groupies.

Terwiliger:

Ditto G & Z.

I don't remember the "cavemen" cartoon. When did you do that one?

John Cox:

Hey T

That caveman piece was the cover for Automotive Report about three years ago.

When Sean cobbled together the visuals, I had no idea which archived works were going to be used to achieve his aim. I was just as surprised as you when I saw TAOWBOM for the first time.

Steve M:

Nice way to highlight your work!
