Karma baby, KARMA!

Ed B:

Hey GF,

I think his karma ran over his dogma.

Dr. Bob:

Couldn't happen to a more deserving person.

IMHO, it needs one more panel - "bashed".

I was trying to find who was the famous man who said "by any means necessary". Turns out it first appeared in "Dirty Hands" a play by Jean Paul Sartre, but it became part of the culture when used by Malcolm X in a 1965 speech and repeated in the Spike Lee film Malcolm X.

I would have thunk the phrase would have been used long before that and maybe it was, but not recognized as such.

DR. BOB:

The first time a similar idea was put forth [at least formally] was by Sophocles in another play--Electra (ca. 4th or 5th century BC):

"The end excuses any evil."

Strangely (perhaps not) Malcolm X gave his speech pretty close to the time of Bashar's conception.

JOHN:

It's uncanny that your most recent "Book Cover" was taken from a random page of text & yet fits the book (& resonates on the original title) so well.

Thanks for a wonderful post!

Terwiliger:

Belated Happy Thanksgiving.

I hope you all are enjoying the company of family & friends.

If you're traveling, may the road rise to meet you.

God bless us, every one.

(Yes, I know it's from A Christmas Carol, but the sentiment is timeless).

GarandFan:

You need to engage in a contest for one of the best personal blogs on the internet. I'll suggest this particular site!

While i initially said I clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added - checkbox now each time a comment is added I receive four e-mails with the similar comment. Can there be any way it is possible to clear away me from that services? Thanks!
