Well, my first guess was "A Farewell to Arms" by Hemingway, but I have to admit that the black eye (or could it be a "Pete the Dog" reference from the Little Rascals?) has me stymied. Need to sleep on this.

Nailed it. I was thinking about turning this image into a prospective book cover with Hemingway's title, but I thought a fun guessing game would work, too.
