Or, to twist Arthur C. Clarke's 3rd Law:
Any sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice.

...And now T has been partially unmasked. ( ;
It's been so long since I had a funny idea, John didn't recognize my e-mail.

All of you Ts are funny: Twain, Terry, and Terwiliger. Of course, we wouldn't have made the connection without your comment, T. :)

Sometimes it pays just to laugh. Otherwise we'd cry too much.

Hey T
Sometimes I don't know what to call you guys when the e-mails are different from comment names.
'Twas a good one.

To paraphrase WWJD:
WWMTS (What Would Mark Twain Say?)
I'd love to hear his comments today. He is probably thinking, "Thank God man is not immortal."

Deviating a bit from Mr. Twain's quote and perhaps being too serious, I'd say we're being run by imbeciles who are pretending to be smart. And it's note working.
Still, what a magnificent piece of work the Constitution is for having protected us (mostly) from such fools for the last 200+ years.

As I have acknowledged, this is a business tool. It’s not really a miracle apparatus. It could effortlessly turn into another expense should you not put the effort and time into learning how to make the most of it.

"Putting us on" isn't exactly a Twain-ism...
WikiQuote claims this quote is from _The_Peter_Principle_

K the Z:
You guys know me well enough that I couldn't NOT comment on this one--& I'd feel like a tool patting my own back (even though it was JOHN who brought it to life). Anyway--I had to have SOME cred--while I've never padded my resume before, in this economy (mmm, mmm, mmm... Barack Hussein Obama) I'm thinking of adding a title something like "Freelance Contributing Editor/Cartooning Consultant".
DR. BOB:
I don't think you're being too serious. I think you hit the nail squarely on the head--in one sentence, no less.
However, I think they've fooled the majority for a long time--& I'm not convinced that the majority has a clue yet.
RICH:
Interesting. I passed a library cart (books to be shelved), I just happened to see a Twain compilation on it, & picked it off the cart. The quotation was in that book (I've seen the quote before--always attributed to Twain).
I have a copy of The Peter Principle around here somewhere--I read it lightly (& quickly) a long time ago--I'll have to dig it out & see if I can find the quote.

Can the webmaster explain why he has only written this quite small article instead of a really long sophisticated post. It was interesting though and I hope you can elaborate more on it. Thanks

The beauty of these blogging engines and CMS platforms will be the lack of limitations and ease of manipulation that enables developers to implement wealthy content and 'skin' the internet site in such a way that with quite little effort one would by no means notice what it's creating the site tick all without having limiting content and effectiveness.
