Given the work ethic of the ant, they will ultimately rule the world.
AND they don't vote Democratic!

Not as much fun as pouring a little gas down there followed by a match!
Who said that????

Does anyone remember a sci-fi movie from the 70s called "Phase IV"? Very creepy. The ants win.

I remember that Phase IV was more like a documentary than a Sci-Fi movie. The close-ups of the ants were sure creepy on the big screen, tho.

The fellow who originated the quote truly had both hope and fomented tremendous change for the good.
Perhaps the ant on the top of his huge ant hill is an allegory to the fellow's vision. As is his untimely end as foreshadowed by the mower.

Hey Dr. Bob
You nailed it. It is a Martin Luther King jr. quote.

QUALIFICATION:
I don't want my comment to be taken the wrong the way. I greatly respect MLK for his contribution to civil discourse in spite of his personal flaws & inconsistency of living up to his personal doctrine (flaws not unlike those of Jefferson, Franklin, or any other human who has walked the face of the earth). However, Lefties have this annoying "holier-than-thou" piety, & they consider it sacrilege to "attack the character" (i.e., frankly discuss the flaws) of one they identify with as one of their own--yet they love using the morality--the morality that Conservatives strive for yet fail to achieve--against them.
THAT SAID:
"I have been to the mountain top, & I have seen the other side."
The other side is the facade of self-reliance created by protectionism (affirmative action) & entitlement (welfare) programs in the relatively isolated bubble of a societal anthill that's located square in the middle of the government plantation.
With painfully few exceptions, government will allow us but so much success, & if we get too "uppity" they mow us back down to keep us on the plantation (& dependent on them). Black folk, please understand that Democrats think they own you as long as they think they're keeping you down & cordoned off.
"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character."
That day can not come as long as Democrats & special interests exploit the small differences between us for political power, all the while overlooking the overwhelming things we have in common.

Hey T!
I think if the Reverend were still alive today, he'd probably agree with you.
I firmly believe what we have now is a total abomination of his message and is undermining the concept of judging by the content of their character.
At the risk of using very frank language, it's the Democrats that want to keep blacks (and other minorities) on the Democrat Party's plantation.

I've seen a number of people state that MLK missed his calling. Since he was a gospel preacher, perhaps he should have remained a preacher?
