Steve M:

Nice-I like that minimal use of shading and detail fading out into the hair.

Ed B:

Nice purple haze.

Terwiliger:

Very cool. Would make a great t-shirt for a really tall dude.

I know that back in the day (when the dream was still alive & I thought I was going to be the next "great" guitarist) I spent hours, days, & weeks poring over certain Hendrix songs (among others).

The first song I learned on guitar was "Red House" (I had been playing sax for about 10 years when I started playing guitar, & I had been listening to some major "old" jazz cats since I was 5 or 6--I was a late-comer to rock, although Hendrix classified himself as a "freak blues player").

I'd like to see John do a 'toon of Barry as Hendrix doing "Castles Made of Sand" (especially considering that Barry ripped off "Stone Free" in one of his speeches back during the BP/Gulf fiasco).

And so castles made of sand... fall in the sea... eventually...

...Hopefully sooner than later.
