Ed B:

Good point, Lou. Billy Gibbons once said that the secret to ZZ Top's success was "never add a fourth chord".

Terwiliger:

Does that make "Rough Boy" a jazz tune? "Stairway to Heaven"? "Little Wing"? "Free Bird"?

The great thing about rock is there are no rules. Shut up & play, Lou--& turn it down so I can't hear it.

I'd rather be listening to my jazz records--& a lot of jazz standards are based on 3-chord progressions.
