Terwiliger, my use of "fwee bwian" was a slight non sequiter directed at John. It is a line from Monty Python's "Life of Brian". I'm reminded of it whenever I see just how our POTUS and Congress(both right and left) are blinded by their own perceived aura.
I say slightly non sequiter, because like the donkeys/lemmings in this panel and the Roman occupiers, to whom "fwee Bwian" is addressed, our elected officials have absolutely no idea just how foolish, disconnect, dishonest, self serving and incompetent they have become,

I thought about putting Pelosi and Reid with whips at the end of the lemming progression, but that takes away the responsibility from the One.
If I had a nastier bent than John, I would have given Obama a flute and drawn the democrats as "demon rats", but it's great just the way it is.

Thanks for the explanation. In the relatively insulated rural little corner of the world I grew up in, I don't think I had even heard of Monty Python before I was in college.
The only MP movie I saw was the "Holy Grail", & the only part that really cracked me up was the "self-flagellating monks" bit.

My only complaint is that I believe the movie could've been slightly more effective if it were based more closely on the novel at certain points, but the modified point of view of the film does make a great point; anyone who has ever hated their job, been accused of something, had some person so self-righteous and convinced of their own authority and dependency on order get in your way, or attended the American public school system at any point in their life should be able to identify with this movie.
