I really dig the way you made Ahmadinejad look like a Gremlin.
Maybe he'll get a microwave for Christmas... Maybe a blender. Maybe he'll melt in the disinfectant of sunlight.

Yep. Most folks think I'm lying when I tell them he was one of the hostage-takers back when Jimmy Carter was mucking things up (& their votes count as much as ours do... SHEESH).
The thing I really don't get is how tyrants with mixed Jewish ancestry seem to lose their freaking minds.
Hitler was half Jewish. He was a psychopathic little mutt who convinced an entire country that the "ideal race" was tall, blonde-haired, & blue-eyed. "Uh... O.K., Mini-Fuhrer. Then why are we taking orders from you?"
Ahmadinejad is mixed Persian (gentile) & Persian-Jew. The only thing that kept him from rising to Hitler levels was a fragmented society of competing Islamofascist ideologies--sort of a wingnut system of checks & balances. If any one of those countries could get it together & agree on how to subjugate women, kill the infidels, & control the oil supply, they'd be well on their way to the next Blitz.

I'm here to tell ya that we're not going anywhere! When the fighting is over, we'll still be standing.
Terwiliger, please note that both the stories of Ahmadinejad and Hitler being of Jewish heritage, mixed, etc. have been proven false. It's often an antisemitic ploy to draw attention away from other antisemitic remarks or occurrences. If you'd like some literature on it, I'll be happy to get it for you.
Shalom from Jerusalem

I didn't raise the "mixed heritage" thing as a slur against the Jewish people.
I made an off-handed comment directed at tyrants without giving any consideration to the idea that my comment could have other implications.
I offer my sincere apologies to you & all Jewish people for my lack of consideration for you when I posted that comment.
Mea culpa.
MEA MAXIMA CULPA.
I've said it numerous times before, & I'll say it again:
There is only one race: The human race. What makes Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Ahmadinejad, Hussein & their ilk different is that they are EVIL, & that is not a characteristic specific to, exclusive to, or excluded from certain nuts of EVERY ethnicity.

Terwiliger:
NO APOLOGY NECESSARY. I took it just the way you meant it and certainly did not think anything bad about you at all. I'm sorry that I made you feel bad.
These kinds of stories have been circulating for years, and innocent people believe them, why shouldn't they?
There was nothing wrong with you bringing it up--I'm guessing you got it from a "reputable" source. The story about Ahmad-the-Nejad's Jewish Heritage was in all the major newspapers all over the world, including our Jerusalem Post here. As usual, when the proof came out, it didn't get published across the headlines in all those papers, it just got to academics like myself who study antisemitism.
So chill out dude, I still love ya,

I never viewed the stories about Hitler's or Ahmadinejad's partial Jewish ancestry as antisemitic even when I was under the impression they were true. I viewed them as supreme ironies about the nature of of man, evil, & hatred arising out of perverted liturgies.
Posted by Terwiliger | December 19, 2009 5:19 PM
Posted on December 19, 2009 17:19
Terwilliger:
You are right with the "supreme irony" factor. That's what makes those reports so effective. Just like the one where Israel is compared to, or outrightly labeled, a Nazi State... talk about supreme irony!
There are many ironies with antisemitism. One simple one: the Jews are poor, nasty creatures who run down neighborhoods and a host of other things; then at the same time they're accused of controlling all the money in the world.
It's the most fascinating topic I have ever studied, it doesn't stick to its own "rules" and can contradict itself.
If you'd like to discuss this more, you can email me at yo dot menashe @ gmail dot com.

Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It's very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod's. It works well, but isn't as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that's not an issue, but if you're planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod's larger screen and better browser may be important.

Hands down, Apple's app store wins by a mile. It's a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I'm not sure I'd want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like 'Mixview' that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you're listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of "neighbors" will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune "Social" is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass' favor.

Fantastic site you have here but I was wondering if you knew of any message boards that cover the same topics talked about here? I'd really like to be a part of group where I can get opinions from other knowledgeable people that share the same interest. If you have any recommendations, please let me know. Thanks a lot!

Admiring the time and energy you put into your site and in depth information you present. It's great to come across a blog every once in a while that isn't the same old rehashed material. Fantastic read! I've bookmarked your site and I'm adding your RSS feeds to my Google account.

I have observed that in the world of today, video games include the latest phenomenon with kids of all ages. Many times it may be extremely hard to drag young kids away from the games. If you want the best of both worlds, there are numerous educational video games for kids. Great post.

VERY insightful, Scott. My team and I are still working on the “perfect” email pitch and this will help us a lot. When you are doing outreach email, are you reaching out as yourself or are you reaching out as an alias from the client’s domain? I have found some success with both, but nothing conclusive. Thanks for posting!

Thanks for your article on the vacation industry. I would also like contribute that if you are a senior thinking about traveling, it is absolutely crucial to buy travel insurance for elderly people. When traveling, golden-agers are at biggest risk being in need of a health care emergency. Obtaining right insurance policy package for the age group can look after your health and give you peace of mind.
