Thank you for putting on paper what's been going through my head for the last week. What a piece of work!
Good thing I pulled most of my money OUT of the market and dumped it into my house. At least I got something TANGIBLE before the bottom fell out...

Quiptoon from Cowboy.
Government "help" to business is just as disastrous as government persecution... the only way a government can be of service to national prosperity is by keeping its hands off.
Ayn Rand

“All the perplexities, confusion and distress in America arise, not from defects in their constitution or confederation, not from want of honor or virtue, so much as from downright ignorance of the nature of coin, credit and circulation.” – John Adams
"...& from the subsequent belief that some ambitious booby* of a politician can deliver them from the conflagration of ills that are perpetuated either due entirely to their own [often willful] ignorance or to shyster(s) exploiting that ignorance." - Terwiliger

Hey Stormy
Big Plymptoon fan. Who know where this stuff comes from.
I was going for Steadman.
Hey Cowboy
Love Rand. Nice quote.
Hey T
Couldn't agree more. Nice.
Hey Emilio
Got the reference. "Hitchhiker" is a personal favorite.
