Nice, soothing colours. Like the contrast yet not-contrast of the chequers and the woman.

Just a thought, but would it maybe work even better if the pattern was only above and to the left of her, and the bottom right part was clear? Merely wondering aloud here.

Are you posting these as you complete them, or are they past paintings that you've done? Actually, I'm wondering about how long it takes you to complete these. Great work as always.

That's the charm of fine art, There are a few solutions (not better, just different) to most compositions. Your idea is just fine. Puts more emphasis on the open air

I have a back log of work that stretches over 10 years. I'll sneak a new piece every once in awhile.

An average piece takes me about a 10-14 days.
