I keep on digging the warmth of the orange/amber tones against the rich browns. Texture contrast is nice, too. Kind of makes me think of those tarnished old Arts-&-Crafts lamps with the dark translucent shades.
The awkward position of "Atlas" & the newspaper background cracks me up. If you were going for ironic humor with a classic vibe, you nailed it.

Thanks for the kind word.
I thought an uncomfortable, slightly unconventional illustration composition would be a nice contrast to the title of the book. I was going for dry irony there.
