Terwiliger:

Can't think of ANY business where the proprietors/specialists don't insist on speaking with vendor/supplier reps. The best hedge is a person with their neck on the line.

Dr. Bob:

We're known to drive older vehicles and because of the frequency of breakdowns there were two jokes going around...

1) our local automotive technician had a dedicated parking spot just for our vehicles and

2) our head wrench put us on a payroll-deduction plan.

Lately, we've had a rash of repairs.
One car had a shift linkage problem which took 3 trips before they fixed it right, two different vehicles had window lift mechanism break, another had a battery croak, another had a belt tensioner and belt go out, one had a alternator fail and one had a hit and run in a parking lot.

So it's back on the payroll deduction plan.

Mauser:

A computer lets you make more mistakes faster than any invention in human history - with the possible exceptions of handguns and tequila.
-- Mitch Ratliffe - Technology Review, April 1992

GarandFan:

Remember back when we were told how much "time" computers would save us?

How much "time" has been spent fixing $%#@&$!!! problems? And then the geeks invented the "computer virus".

Anonymous:

Not to mention all the "time wasters" (games & other media/app "entertainment").

"You may delay, but time will not." - Benjamin Franklin

Dr. Bob:

I'm still waiting for the "paperless office".

Can't wait for a toon or a riff about the NAPA singing parts guy commercial.

Dr. Bob:

No wonder you got the wrong part -
"X13597-AB-a" is not the same part as "X13597-AB-A"!!!

Always look for the serious and articles I find in this beautiful site
