Graphic Novel Cover Illustration Idea...

A man can dream, can't he? If I ever get a graphic novel cover commission the unicorns will rejoice, the pond nymphs will feast on jelly bean wine and river trolls will frolic to the ethereal sounds of manatee songs.

Escopon was on his way to work. Daily he mounted his trusty Pracil for the long treck up Valponin. Entering the centuries old path, the Pracil dutifully kept it's right shoulder to the wall. A wise move considering the fall and swift descent to the rock below if it were to slip off the narrow track. A very dreary, wearying and and yet timeless duty.

Too bad Escopon was terrified of the escalator on the other side of the hill.

You could probably put together a short children's book with selections and riffs from your website, John. It could even rhyme if you started a Limerick What? or something else rhymey.

3 arbees for G, btw. :-)

Ed B:

Wow, Taarna really let herself go...

John Cox:

HEY GANG

Entertaining stuff! I'm glad this site can inspire such wacky riffs.

Love the participation. And G?...it's writing like that makes running out farfetched illustrations worth it.

AND COWBOY

Yes, a dude on a bird-like creature says HEAVY METAL (big influence).

Mauser:

Not so much Heavy Metal as Wizards.

Thunderbottom:

"Seated on his trusty thunderchicken, Rauul surveyed the site of the battle to come. 'It is a good day to die.' he ruminated."

GarandFan:

John, tech question:

How'd you get the background to fuzz/fade from the foreground?

John Cox:

HEY G

Two different drawings: soldier and creature is one illustration, the mountainous background is another. I can manipulate each layer separately in Photoshop.

The real trick is melding the two and have the finished work be visually seamless.

...& why so many so-called "liberals" had trouble with young-earth creationism was difficult to understand, considering that they themselves are dinosaurs--flourishing, no less--from a recent bygone era. They should have gone extinct at least twice by now...

Rutager:

Young earth creationism? Puhleeze.

It's a JOKE.

Some time before, I needed to buy a good car for my corporation but I did not have enough money and could not order anything. Thank God my friend proposed to try to get the home loans from creditors. Therefore, I acted that and was satisfied with my small business loan.
