GarandFan:

I always suspected he painted 'by the numbers'.

GarandFan:

That reminds me, did you turn off the stove?

john cox:

HEY G

2nd made me laugh aloud. Something oddly OCD about Escher and people who like Escher.

GarandFan:

John, couldn't think of his name at first, but the vibe struck me. You look at his work (it can really get the brain turning over) and suddenly some random thought just pops up completely unrelated.

Kalashnikat:

The title issssss: Newt descending a staircasessssss...I don't get it...

Kalashnikat:

"It sayssss: Newt, desssscending a sssstaircasessss....I don' geddit."

Kalashnikat:

Sorry, the first one vanished...you can pull it if you'd be so kind, the sssssecond one isssssss better.
Kalashnikat.

Mr Michael:

"I know it when I see it..."

GarandFan:

Well it looks like porn to me!

Ed B:

"This is nothing more than another blatant example of how they're trying to push evolution on us at every turn!"

Mauser:

"Howcome WE don't do that any more?"

Dr. Bob:

Yeah, I don't "get" Escher.

I don't understand the significance/symbolisnm of the closed book, the triangle between it and the dodecahedron (?), the pot of two cacti, the open book and the corked bottle.

Anyone care to give it an interpretation?

Terwiliger:

"I got a story--ain't no moral. I let the bad guy win every once in a while."

Thunderbottom:

"To me, it expresses the alienation and struggles of reptiles in mammalian society."

Terwiliger:

A twist on Ed B's:

"Now this guy got evolution RIGHT. My grandpa ain't no mudpuppy."

Tom Wms.:

That reminds me, there's a new Chinese restaurant in town!

Terwiliger:

"Somehow, I don't feel that having the keenest eyesight in the lizard kingdom is all that great right now."
