john cox:

OKAY....I'll kick-off.

LITTLE OBAMA, LOST IN WORLD DRAMA,

HAS LEFT THE LIBERALS BEHIND.

LEAVE THEM ALONE, AND THEY'LL COME HOME,

ANXIOUS TO GET BACK IN LINE.

Martin Lundqvist:

Little Obama ain't catching Osama
and doesn't dare bombing Iran.
And while evil Hamas, is seeking Le Coup-de-grace:
what is to become of American man?

Terwiliger:

I'll give it a try in a minute. I just wanted to note that--if that's Obama--he bears more than a passing resemblance to Richard Nixon.

Terwiliger:

Little O’ BEEP lied to his peeps
And labored to enslave them
Toss them a bone
Maybe they'll come home
Wagging their tails behind them

Little O’ BEEP the ideologue
Can’t face the facts before him
“Fundamental change”
Has fried his brain
That--& the dope* from college

Little O’ BEEP began to weep
When his peeps rose against him
He worked through the night
With all his might
He knows what’s better for them

Little O’ BEEP he blamed the peeps
For throwing their tea parties
“If they revolt
They must be dolts”
For he's the savior reincarnate

Little O’ BEEP ignored his peeps
And passed reams & reams of bullsh__
Back to the vault
“It’s Bush’s fault”
They can’t be tired of that yet

Little O’ BEEP stuck to his guns
And stuck it to the masses
When November comes
The Nomenklatura goes home
Dragging their sorry a__es

* Both the Marxist dope they taught him & the illicit dope he used

GarandFan:

I got nuthin', too busy LMAOROTF!

NateW:

Barry had some little lambs,
who believed in Hope and Change,
and everywhere that Barry went,
those beliefs were not estranged.

They sent him off to Washington,
with their hearts worn on the sleeves.
Thanks to their hope and Barry's change,
we're now owned by the Chinese.

(Eh...best I could do on short notice...)

Ed B:

"Well BoBama, any sign of those two million jobs you created and/or saved?"

GarandFan:

"Where the hell did all the sheeple go? They were following me just a couple of months ago."

TomWms:

Barry had a little lamb,
Whose fleece was documented.
It followed him to Washington,
And all of Congress killed it. (Fractured fairy tales never fully rhyme.)
---------------------
Baa, baa, black sheep,
Have you another fool?
---------------------
Humpty Geitner sat on us all.
Humpty Geitner is about to have a great fall.
All messiah's horses and all messiah's men,
Can't save Humpty's as again.
---------------------
Little miss Nancy made it her fancy,
To look down her nose at us all.
But come next November may the people remember,
And ruin her night at the ball.
---------------------
Three blind libs, three blind libs.
See how they lie, see how they lie.
They blame it all on bush you see, they blame it all on bush you see.
Three blind libs, three blind liba,
---------------------
Old King Barry was a bit too merry,
And a bit too merry was he.
He called with his hype,
And he called with his bull.
And he called with his liars three. (Pick any three and all all the rest.)

GarandFan:

Fractured fairy tales - NOW THAT WAS A CLASSIC!

TomWms:

Little B.O. Peep has lost his Veep,
And doesn't know where to find him.
But when left on his own,
He'll find his way home,
With the press not far behind him.

TomWms:

One dark, cloudy day, B.O. Peep scanned the horizon in search of his lost flock of supporters.
------------------------
The way his hand is on his head, it is as if he is saying, "I have GOT to get out of these shoes. They're giving me SUCH a headache!"
------------------------
Hey T,
He does sort of look like Nixon in this picture. The difference is I voted for Nixon.

Terwiliger:

I wish I'd thought of "Little B.O. Peep". That works much better.

I wasn't quite 3 years old when Nixon was elected. However, considering that his opponents were none other than Hubert Humphrey, founder of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party (thanks SO MUCH for Al Franken)--& George Wallace, unrepentant Democrat ("Independent"--yeah, right) racist from the Albert Gore, Sr./Robert Byrd mold (all of whom were far worse racists than Lester Maddox, Keifums--you douche-bagger)--Nixon was the no-brainer candidate. he carried about 43% of the popular vote, 56% of Americans voting for either a Socialist or a Democrat racist.

There should have been trap doors at the polling places that year--& if you pulled the lever for either Humphrey or Wallace, you'd be deported to Fidel's neo-post-Che Cuba.

TomWms:

Hey T:
He was a no brainer both times, and I'd consider him again if I could. In spite of his dark side and the fact that he tried to cover up Watergate, I kind of liked the guy. He was the last of a certain breed of hard nosed politicians (Republican and Democrat)to make it to the White House. Kennedy was part of that breed. And though that breed is approaching extinction, it's a little scarry what we are getting in place of it. Although Reagan was of the same era, he was of a different mold than Nixon, Johnson, Kennedy, etc.

Now, as far as you being 3 years old when Nixon was first elected, thanks for making me feel really old (just kidding).

Terwiliger:

Hey Tom:

Not "3", but "not quite 3"... you old codger. (KIDDING!!!)

Kennedy & Johnson? I don't follow on those two.

From what I've read about Kennedy, he was a big-talking charismatic enigma who couldn't reason his way out of a wet paper bag. While he could think on his feet when he was talking, he was a policy disaster when left to his own devices. All of that powerful rhetoric (& "his" book) was supplied to him by a few very gifted writers, & he was basically an amoral empty suit--although he had been raised well enough by a hard-nosed (albeit corrupt) father who at least taught him how to "speak well" without the aide of a teleprompter. The "JFK Legend" is a masterwork of progressive historians to capitalize on his tragic death to bury his ineptitude & romanticize both him & the "Kennedy Dynasty".

Lyndon Johnson may have started out hard-nosed, but by the end of his presidency, wasn't he a broken ideologue?

I don't know as I see your point on Reagan. I bought into the jovial "amiable dunce" myth for too long--then I read Reagan, in His Own Hand. I no longer see his good nature as a liability, & he was by no means an idjit. I think that having Ford & Carter as a spacer between Reagan & Nixon (& the unfortunate circumstance of Reagan presiding over Congresses that at times spent close to 2 dollars for every dollar they took in) unjustly sullies him.

TomWms:

I wasn't complimenting Nixon, Johnson, Kennedy, etc. Thier brand of politics was ruthless. Politics today is ruthless, but in a different way. Compare the gangsters of the 30's, 40's, and 50's to today's crop. I thing the same goes with the politics of the time. In the end, Johnson was beaten down. He had his "two terms" as president (counting part of Kennedy's). He was simply smart enough to know when he wore out his welcome.

I admired Reagan. Carter and Ford were buffons. Ford was a nice enough guy, just not the right guy. As for Carter, none of the above.

Well, my wife is badgering me to get ready for church. Talk to you later.
