That--& he was a world-class jerk.
I really disliked him when I was a kid. I'm indifferent towards him now.
In spite of the fact that I'm no fan of his (or of baseball any more, for that matter), it's time to put him in the hall of fame.
It isn't like he nearly decapitated his wife & her boyfriend--& with all of the "asterisk athletes" shooting up 'roids, hGh, & creatine, who cares about gambling infractions?
Sports & athletes are overrated. Bread & circuses. Give the man his place in the sun (on the manure pile).

"Asshole-ness" has NOTHING to do with Hall of Fame numbers. If a players persona was part of the equation, Dale Murphy's plaque would have collected inches of dust by now.

I couldn't stand him either because he was a jerk, but agree with T. & John. He should be in hall of fame, as a player. You shouldn't take that away from him or from history. It's not like he did what the Black Socks did.

I'm sure the Hall of Fame has other players/coaches with major failures - it seems inconsistent to have PR not in the hall, even if he is an world class jerk. It's part of the character of the game.

My take is that being in the Hall of Fame is just that. You've done something to make the game worthwhile. Something to aspire to. To set an example.

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod's. It works well, but isn't as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that's not an issue, but if you're planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod's larger screen and better browser may be important.

Thanks for all of the information. On a side be aware, how do you take care of all the spam you get on your weblog? My new weblog is getting destroyed by random spammers and I've been spending loads of time and power deleting feedback its merely not funny. . I get so drained preventing spam that I feed I should cease operating a blog entirely.
