That mountain is obviously a swastika-toting KKK-er racist mountain erected out of a molehill by special interests and fatcat insurance company lobbyists in love with the status quo , and it should shut up and just get out of the way if it knew what was good for it.

TERRY_JIM:
Heck of a comment. Nothing I could add to that.
I had to break my "media blackout" to do a web search to know what part of that was about. I'm not looking forward to the reading I'll have to do to get back up to speed, but the down-time is absolutely glorious.
The news in general is a downer, but it is so nice to see that people are actually toeing off with politicians (instead of having those lame little tea parties where a bunch of like-minded people just hang out with each other).
The funny thing to me is Democrats have the numbers to cram any & every bill they want to down our throats, but they seem to be in a major melt-down over their fears of losing incumbency.
JOHN:
HILARIOUS. While I would have liked for the plane to look a little more like the Spruce Goose or a Russian An-225, you do darned good renderings of bloated, barely air-worthy aircraft.

The "camera view" is actually rotated 90 degrees. What one thinks is an aircraft flying head-on into "cumulo-granite" is actually a view of the craft plunging straight into the ground.

HEY T
Thanks for the kind word. It's neat you picked up on the absurdity of the plane. I wanted to created this hunk o' junk that should have never left the ground.

"Safety last". Good title, after all we're dealing with the "What, me worry?" kid.

Why isn't someone asking the liberals how they're going to like it when Bush, Cheney, and Rove are in charge of their health care? Are they that short sighted or do they think they won't have to worry about conservatives being in power once this thing is enacted?

You know, the Hindenburg was a big bulky airship full of hot air too. It didn't hit a impenetrable wall, but it did explode. May the "plan" suffer the same fate.

The beauty of that plane is that instead of a fleet of luxury Gulfstreams, the whole Congress could fit in that big Whalejet.
I would hope, of course , for a softer landing in that case.

HEY TERRY
Maybe something along the lines of a Super Guppy from a few years back?

I like GarandFan's last comment, but I seem to recall McCain's position on health care "reform" during the 2008 campaign wasn't that much different than what they're pushing now. The only difference is that he hadn't drafted a proposal yet.
McCain, from WAY back in economy class: "If I were flying this thing, we'd already be at the bottom of the ocean. While you guys were trying to figure out how to get this thing off the ground, I was reading Gibbon's Decline & Fall of the Roman Empire, and even at that, I only realized this was a lousy idea when Obama's poll numbers went in the tank."
