It seems my caricatures of Khamenei and Ahmadinejad came in handy at an Iranian protest rally in Berlin. Definitely weird.
Check this out. Thanks to Harvey Scobie for the catch. See the originals here and here.

Those are yours alright! This is funky. We at least need to get these people stealing images to start blogging! They probably just did a image search and grabbed them. They look good though!

Most artists spend their entire careers hoping in some way to Do The Big Thing... change a mind, move a heart. Something that means something, something that matters
Now, not only have you made me smile and laugh (a worthy enough Life Goal as it is... ) you are helping to fight tyranny around the World.
Sweet.
Don't think that this means you can give up on Kirkwood, mind.

Well, what did you expect?
You cannot keep producing good stuff, and expect that nobody will use it...
Keep your pencil well sharpened!

Does anyone remember the pro Bin Laden marches in Afghanistan shortly after 9/11? The marchers were carrying posters of Bin Laden that actually had Bert from Sesame Street in the corner of the posters. They had copy and pasted a pic from a spoof site, made hundreds of copies, and marched down the street chanting "Death To America" under Bert's watchful ping-pong ball eyes.

Well John,
Someone on Twitter has also nabbed your characture of Ahmadinejad and is using it for his avitar on Twitter. Don't know if you want to thank him or what. He blogs at: http://www.hominidfarm.com I sent him a message. We'll see if he responds.

Hey, your posts have inspired me! - I love the way you directly get to the point, and then work outwards. I’ve been trying to do figure out what I want to say about ,that would allow me to do exactly the same thing.

Very nice John! Odd, but they actually look more like themselves in your drawings then they do on video.

HEY GANG
Thanks! I'm still enjoying the buzz of realizing cartoon work can be part of current events. All your good wishes are very inspiring.

You are truly a rebel.

HEY TOM
I wouldn't mind a "Fatwa Lite"...%100 of the contempt, %0 getting whacked.
So far, I haven't run into any crazed zealots bearing ill will.
