Gotta say it:
This from a guy who thought that if we could exceed the speed of light, we could arrive before we left--an erroneous conclusion caused by examining a phenomenon from too close a distance.
It takes light about 8 minutes to travel from the sun to earth. The way I figure, if somehow it was possible to travel at twice the speed of light, it would still take 4 minutes to cover an equivalent distance.
It stands to reason that if light has a measurable velocity, it can't possibly be instantaneous.
This is not to take away from Einstein's contributions to science--just to note that even the smartest among us have their limitations.
