Dude.
I don't think you drew that Stimulus Plan quite big enough.

WOW! I posted a comment but it never made it. Probably user error. Anyway, it was so profound that I forgot what I said. On the lighter side, I linked your website and this cartoon on Twitter tonight and there were a lot of positive comments. Hope to get some new regulars...

Too bad that Governor Bobby Jindal couldn't have this posted on a large screen behind him when he was giving the Republican rebuttal.

I'm going to post this up as a link on my blog http://semper-fido.blogspot.com/ and add you to my blogroll.
I have bought all of your books. I nearly wept when I found out you were not going to be writing more political books with Mr. Forkum.
They were the best political education I could get for my teenage boys. They would pour over them at night before bed.
Please reconsider and get back out for the good fight.
I think your cartoon books should be in the schools.

HEY SEMPER FIDO
Thank your for the kind words. Allen and I always those book were kinds of starter kit for a rational approach to political activism.
I speak to Allen Forkum every so often and he's a busy dude. Whether he ever misses poliltical comment is a tough question.
But we still talk politics......

Hear, hear! I could not think of a betters "Civics" book for high school students.
Posted by GarandFan | February 25, 2009 6:03 PM
Posted on February 25, 2009 18:03
GF.
They don't teach Civics like you and I remember anymore. In fact, they don't teach it at all, really. Against the agenda.
It's really sad.

appreciate your response to my post.
I'm going to forward the link to your books to somebody I know who's actively concentrating on high school textbooks and their leanings (almost always)in the opposite direction. I'm not sure where that would get us, but perhaps we could popularize your stuff amongst the high school generation.
perhaps I will pay my underemployed high school senior son to start a website promoting your books, and maybe we can get somebody to fund their disbursement amongst high schoolers or at least high school libraries.

Hey, John.
Good thought on the Jelly metaphore. Only problem is there is too much dirt in the Jelly to make it comfortable when used.

The Stimulus Plan is like Viagra for the Economy. Don't take STIMULUS as this may cause a sudden, unsafe rise in blood pressure.
Discuss your general health status with your doctor to ensure that you are healthy enough to engage in STIMULUS activity. If you experience chest pain, nausea, or any other discomforts during STIMULUS, seek immediate medical help. In the rare event of STIMULUS lasting more than 4 hours, seek immediate medical help to avoid long-term injury. The most common side effects of STIMULUS are headache, facial flushing, and upset stomach. Less commonly, decrease in intelligence, blurred vision, or insensitivity to common sense may briefly occur.

I hope more new people enjoy with your artworks.
Thanks.

Any chance you're going to make this one into a T-Shirt?

HEY BRAD
I can't bankroll a project like that. If someone was interested in BUYING the work and then making t-shirts (%100 profit to him, no royalties), that would work.
Thanks for the interest, though.
