Illustration Gig

This the work I did for Allen Forkum's Automotive Report this month. It was kind of tricky NOT making these people resemble a celebrity.

I take my hat off to anyone who works directly with the public.

Having been on both sides of the "headset"--& having been a darned good rep--I agree with GARANDFAN...but only to a point.

The pool that customer service representatives are drawn from IS the public. At the bottom of it, they are nothing more than a cross-section of the dumb masses.

Proportionately, I find CS reps to be every bit as obtuse...perhaps even worse, because--if we experience a problem with a product or service--there is no where else to go.

Add to that the increasing tendency for "customer service" to mean "refuse all service--including service that the customer is entitled to--until he gets frustrated & goes away"...

...& as a group, they are not worthy of salute.
