Tg'lukkk always asked for at least five spoonfuls of sugar; when asked, he claimed his species needed it to survive, much the way humans need certain vitamins. He even had an article to back himself up, and said he was hurt by Susie's skepticism. "I don't want to bring this up again," he said as she poured out, "but you know I need more sugar."
Susie just smiled and kept pouring. He wasn't the first gilank she'd met in her seven years; she knew their ways. She'd switched to Splenda a month ago. He'd never noticed.
