God's Candidate

SThuck.jpg

SAYS MIKE HUCKABEE.....
"There's only one explanation for it, and it's not a human one. It's the same power that helped a little boy with two fish and five loaves feed a crowd of five thousand people. And that's the only way that our campaign could be doing what it's doing".

There you have it, ladies and gentiles. This shmuck has the audacity to compare a Jesus miracle with a pointless vanity project in Iowa.

If he wins in New Hampshire, atheism here I come.

Care to make a wager... for your soul?! Mwahahahaha*cough*eh! :o) I'm not a fan of Huckabee either, tending more towards Thompson.

NH will probably go to McCain and Obama, so I think you're safe.

GarandFan:

That statement ranks right up there with John Dean's meltdown.

Go Fred!

Tom Wms.:

Let's make it unanmous, I like Fred too.

Ernie Earnest:

I've already made the move to atheism. Sick and tired of this crap.
Ron Paul is the man.

I have updated my post, What Would Jesus Do With A GPS, with your cartoon.

Terwiliger:

You would let the state of your faith (or lack thereof) be determined by a dogmatic nincompoop?

Ultimately, that's a journey you have to travel alone.

Science invalidates all so-called "scientific" theories of how we got here.

"For every action there is an equal an opposite reaction."

In other words,

"Things don't JUST HAPPEN."

What exploded to cause the so-called "big bang"? Where did that come from? And that?

...You're stuck in an infinite regression.

Read (or listen to) the debate at Stanford between Gary Habermas & Anthony Flew...maybe read The Age of Reason by Thomas Paine...

...and think for yourself.

Avoid being motivated by anything other than reason.

Don't drive into a tree because there are a bunch of retards in the road.

You're not an atheist now???

Jonathan Hohensee:

Politics aside, I refuse to support Huckabee based on the goofiness of his appearance.

HEY ROB

I'm not Anti-God as much as I'm Anti-Religion.

Terwiliger:

My apologies in advance for writing it, but...

This thread is lame. The caricature & up to the word "Iowa" in the original post were fine. Beyond that, the posts (this one included) are pretty much pointless.

Huckabee must have said 1,000 things before now that show he's little more than a pandering demagogue (the same goes for every candidate running except Ron Paul).

Fred Thompson's "career" reeks of expediency, from lobbyist to "Conservative" Senator. He has a strong speaking voice & a little bit of charisma. So what.

As much as I like Ron Paul's "Return to Constitutional Principles" theme, he's beaten the "blame America" dead horse into dog food, & his lack of rhetorical skill dooms him. He needed an inspired speech-writer that could make his ideas more palpable & palatable, but it's too late now. He has irreparably damaged his campaign.

As for the topic of theology, there isn't a board big enough for it...everybody's an advocate, & everybody's an expert. Everybody's talking, nobody's listening. Never preclude yourself from changing your mind.

AUTARCHY NOW!!!

Terwiliger:

HEY JOHN

I apologize for yet another TOO LONG post. That's the last one.

Rutager:

And when McCain finally erupts, he's going to make Dean's meltdown look like Mr. Rogers on valium.

HEY GANG

You can see I why hung up my "political spurs" and just wanted to do goofy shit. I had no idea these tirades were on the horizon.....*sigh*.....

I wanted to try a little thematic wrinkle and this it what happens.

If you would just stick to bashing liberals and terrorists we'd all be singing "Koom-by-ya" in here, ha! I'll vote for anyone that'll endorse the Fairtax. Biggest shift of power from the government to the people since the Bill of Rights. That's how I see it anyway.

Don't abandon faith because of some politcal fol-de-rol.
Besides, the collapse of "Mrs. Inevitable's" campaign may, in fact, be a proof of Providence.

Terwiliger:

BASH'EM ALL. There isn't a dimes worth of difference between them.

I was ROTFL in pain last week when Schmuckabee was riding Romney for his "lifetime hunter" claims (MR had only hunted once in his life)...MH was on a pheasant hunt, doing his best Tim Taylor/"more power"--rattling off the specs of "his" Benelli shotgun (ARGH ARGH)--showing he was "big man real hunter"--then he proceeds to miss his first three birds because he didn't know how the safety worked (it was ON & he didn't know the difference). Gun rule #1, every gun is loaded until you know it isn't. Gun rule #2, once you know it isn't loaded, you don't load it until you know how it works. Schmuck. A bee.

"Fair" tax? The income tax & the IRS have to go, but Boortz put the limits of his intellect on display with that one. However, it at least got some people thinking in the right direction.

FurryOldGuyJeans:

Interesting that the Huckster rubs a lot of Republicans and Conservatives the wrong way (rightly in my not-so humble opinion) while a lot of the lunatic fringe on the left praise him to the skies and love his profuse professions of his direct hot-line to God. The same loons hyperventilate and go apoplectic over the slightly imagining of what Bush (the EEEEEEEVIL! Genius/poop flinging monkey/retard) MIGHT do as a show of HIS faith.

Terwiliger:

The loony Left is falling all over themselves "promoting" Schmuckabee because they want to marginalize all Republican candidates (especially the former front-runners). They're working to deplete Republican resources now (with the added bonus that they're manufacturing dissent all around) to ensure that whichever turd ends up on top of the pile isn't in better shape than the winner of the Democrat turd-off.

To me, Republicans have always been the lesser of the two evils; but the difference has grown ever smaller, & the lesser of two evils is still evil.
