As you may already have heard, Allen Forkum and I have hung up our spurs over at Cox and Forkum.com. You can read in detail the whys and wherefors of our decision but be assured.....I'm still kickin'. I've got lots to do here and you haven't seen NUTHIN' yet.....
For all of those who have been aware of our work for the last few years, thank you for the encouragement you've so generously given. We've enjoyed the ride.

1 rubber chicken: Carrot Top funny (yawn)
2 rubber chickens: David Letterman funny (smile)
3 rubber chickens: Steve Martin funny (giggle)
4 rubber chickens: Richard Pryor funny ( gut-buster)
This may be harsh. Remember, there's no crying in cartooning. The comedians I chose are just a personal criteria. I'll leave it to you guys to define what a 1,2,3,4, ARBEE (rubber chicken) dialogue entry might be.

My good friend and fellow darter, Bob Tuchow, asked me to try my hand at creating a logo for a prospective new team we've been talking about. What is a "mook"? Catch us throwing darts some night at Trackside and all your questions will be answered.

Skulking around the bloggers, ammo in hand, I spent last Saturday ambushing the feckless few who fell under my pen. They didn't ask for it (WHO WOULD?), but some things can't be negotiated.
A big hearty thanks to all you guys for letting me be a small part of your wonderous annual gathering in Helen, Georgia. I haven't been in the presence of such creative forces since my "hiatus" in a local asylum.
A special high five goes out to Sam and Zonker. You baby-sat the newbie and showed him The Blown-Eyed Way.

Played with an original drawing in PhotoShop. This feels like a Richard Ford story of a entomologist's epic fall from grace.

This was an exercise in treating the manneqin as if it was flesh and blood-more heft and roundness. I think the dramatic lighting helps break down the stiffness that usually accompanies a typical mannequin study.
